Antique Persian Tehran rug with a fine art Rococo style Millefleurs display of the highest order. A remarkable range of soft pastels create an enchanting landscape echoing water and formal gardens. The ground is a subtly variegated denim blue, with the magnificent centerpiece in jeweled berry. Accent colors include verdigris, celadon, seafoam, blackish navy blue, lemon yellow, pale gold, aquamarine, fawn, sand, coffee bean, pastel pink, and cream. All the colors are derived from plant and mineral sources. The finely spun wool and skillful hand knotting give this rug a luxuriously velvety surface.
