Antique Persian Bakhtiari Tribal Runner Rug 3’10”x10’ Best of Type
Antique Persian Bakhtiari Tribal Runner Rug 3’10”x10’ Best of Type
Rug No. 54310
Antique Persian tribal rug from talented Bakhtiari weavers of the Fereidan area in the Zagros mountains about 90 miles west of Isfahan. We consider this stunning runner, which is in an exceptional state of preservation, to be a “best of type” given its subtle colors, fine weave, and playfully refined artwork. The deliberate placement of each color within the diamond mosaic produces a rhythmic twinkle like sunlight on rippling water. This is tribal weaving at its best.
