Antique Heriz Serapi Rug 9'3"x12'7" Northwest Persian Art and Color
Rug No. 121344
Antique Heriz Serapi rug with a superb expression of classical Northwest Persian art and color. The radiant composition is simultaneously regal and exotic with finely knotted filigrees and subtle color harmonies teasing between tension and serenity. The main ground is variegated tomato red with medallion and border in midnight blue. The elegant corner spandrels are pale robin egg and sky blue. Accent colors include coral, jade green, teal, pale yellow, chestnut, bone white, and brown. Exemplary weaving technique and lustrous hand spun wool are consistent with the best examples.
