Antique Persian Mahal Sultanabad Rug 9'x12' Dreamy Ziegler Style
Antique Persian Mahal Sultanabad Rug 9'x12' Dreamy Ziegler Style
Antique Persian Mahal rug in the Ziegler style with a dreamy large scale botanical landscape. The subtle carefully crafted colors are only seen in the pre 1920 rugs from the Arak (formerly Sultanabad) area. The terracotta/red clay ground is the best we’ve ever seen, and the design elements are equally inspired in pale robins egg blue, pastel salmon, forest green, denim blue, charcoal, dusty apricot, pale pistachio green, several lustrous light browns, black coffee, and cream. One of a kind weavings like this seldom come along and it will be cherished for a lifetime.
